In this 2021 statement, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) expressed its 'full support' for this statement issued by the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB):

The FSMB statement threatened physicians who spread 'misinformation' or 'disinformation' with 'disciplinary action by state medical boards,' including the possible suspension or revocation of their medical licenses.
